Default Anyone with a 2008 done a Sportster rear sprocket?

I'm thinking of swapping out the rear sprocket for one off a Sportster to bring the gearing in line with the 2009's and up. Anyone done it and was it a noticeable improvement? Anyone know what the part numbers are? IS there a how to floating around somewhere?
Thanks,
J.

Yes I have done it. 40518-08 Pulley and 9285 bearing. The rubber isolator pads can be re-used if you want(I re-used them), or this would be a good time to replace. I don't know the pn's for the isolator pads. The stock belt worked with this pulley but the axle is almost all the forward. Yes I would do it again. Yes it noticeable. The sportster pulley has a bearing(9254) in it so that one needs to be pressed out and the 9285 needs to be pressed in. Taking off from a stop is easier and it makes the gaps between gears less noticeable. There is a reason Harley made the change, it is a worth while change in my opinion.

I did it on an 07, same gearing as the 08. It helped, but the gearing didn't feel right until I also went to a 30t trans pulley.

I am going 31t trans soon. Did your stock belt work with the 30t/68t ?

Ive done one on a 2007 UC with a 30 tooth up front. Makes a hell of a difference. Dont know the pn's. I call bs on the comment about the belt not lasting and you can use the stock belt if you do both front and rear like the 07 I did.

Im new to hearing about this sportster pulley, but I put a 30 t pulley with the HD japenese belt on my 07 and the bike screams from off the line all the way to 100+. After I did the 103 with 510 cam it was too long legged. Is this the same symptom you all are discussing?
