Hate to say it but really Dissapointed in Boom Speakers.
I'm having a hard adjusting the speakers. Sometimes to much bass it seems and they distort a little and then I'm constaintly moving the trebble also.
I was heart broke though when I heard my buddies Biketronics system he put in his 06 ElectraGlide Standard, that thing sounds awesome. It sounds as good as a system in your home would. The bass was deep and clear as was the music and the voice came through loud and clear, and this had bass.
So now I don't know what to do, I guess I'll be buying speakers and a amp.
He paid around $469 for the whole setup I beleive. Thats with a radio, speakers and a booster. The booster may be where is getting all his sound though.
Here's the deal though, I'll agree there a little louder but the quality in sound is the same for me.
Remember. You'll never get a car quality sound. There's only so much you can do. I will add an amp in the future but that's just because I want an amp. Not cause I need one. Playing all my music through my iPod allows me to have more control and the sound on mine kicks ***. My buddy's that have stereos hate mine because if they get near me they can hear mine over theirs. Bang forbthe Buck they're right where they need to be. Add the amp.
I replaced my stock speakers with a 4 ohm speaker a year back, wasn't happy with the 4 to 2 ohm. I got the boom speakers and have been happy with them. They are pretty good for a bike, I hear my stereo over by Bub 7s, I am happy.
