HO stereo amp question

I have an '08 FLSTC with the high output stereo. The amp is beneath the tourpack. I replaced the stock speakers with hogtunes and it made a great difference. I did notice at higher volumes, though, there was significant distortion. I just replaced the hogtunes with Polk MM 6501 component speakers. I mounted the tweeters on the inner fairing and stashed the crossovers on top of the head unit. They do sound much better, but they are not nearly as loud. The volume stops increasing about halfway up the dial. I'm thinking about getting another amp, the ARC KS125.2BX. Do you think I'll get more sound out of the ARC than the HD amp? I'm not even sure what the output is of the HD amp. Any help would appreciated. Also, if I get the ARC amp, where has everyone been putting the XM unit (and my crossovers)? Thanks.

Look at the Rockford Fosgate amps.
PBR300X2 300 watt RMS 2 channel
PBR300X4 300 watt RMS 4 channel
about $150.00 on Amazon, ebay etc.

The Harley amp puts out 40Watts per Channel @ 2Ohms and the Mini puts out 125Watts @ 2Ohms.

There will be a night and day difference between the two.
