I have a 11 fltrx with heavybreather, dresser duals and pcv. When cold it usually takes two trys to start and when hot often has a mild backfire on startup. Bike has been tuned by my dealer who's guy is known for his good work. I've checked for intake and exhaust leaks and have found none. Any suggestions or could this be normal for my combination of parts? Bike runs great otherwise.

 

Try starting it before the fuel pump cuts out.

 

I had a little bit of a start up issue with my 2010 FLHX with a PCV. I emailed Jamie at fuel moto... on March 21, 2012, Dynojet posted a firmware update. I loaded it last week, and so far so good. If you haven't already, it may be worth the 5 minute investment of your time to give it a shot.
