Comparison my 08 Road King Classic and my 12 Road Glide Custom

great write up mile high king. i recently sold my 08 streetglide to a good friend. with the sg i used 09 full length shocks from a roadglide and it gave me that additional inch of rear suspension travel which was essential after bottoming out a few times with the stock short 08 sg shocks. i was really happy with the way my bike turned out, did the 103 hd kit with the 259 cams, 10.5 c.r., v&h pro pipe, and it runs great. now to the 2013 roadglide ultra which i bought about a month ago. it tracks much better and almost feels like it's got a longer wheelbase somehow. the motor is suspended like you mentioned with 4 mounts rather than the 3 point mounting which makes for no more "gorilla in a cage" syndrome. my streetglide was considerably quicker, but my '13 rgu is still fully stock/to be changed at a later date-perhaps. it's quiet, handles wonderfully, is plenty comfortable, and the roadglides lately, have become the flavor of the day. i'd be fine with having kept my 08 sg, but i really like the way the roadglide works for me. i'm not gonna be ricky racer in the curves, but it's very stable and i feel i can really depend on it to track through the arc of a curve with great confidence. so on the 08 and the newer model chassis/roadglide=flt vs streetglide=flh, we can agree to agree.
