Default cfr slip on ?

Hello everyone I'm new to the Harley world an just picked up a 12 sg. I'm wanting to get a set of cfr slip ons for it they look and sound great. First I would like to know the best place to buy them from I've done a lil research but havnt found to much? I'm goin to head down to my dealer an see if they can get a set but don't wanna get rapped in the process. Next thing I'm wondering is will my bike run good with the slip ons and a new filter or will I have to have some one tune it ?

Dave

Just bought mine from directharleyparts. Good price and transaction. I am running mine as just slip ons for some break in time then I will be installing headers and intake. I will then bring the bike to my tuner for a tuner and dyno time. If you change the intake you will need to have it tuned or remapped.

Thanks hamps I'm goin to give them a call to get a price. So your sayin just throw the slip ons an don't change the filter just yet? I plan on getting headers for it also down the road but for now want a better sound than stock an didn't wanna have to tune it yet.

Thanks keebee I checked there site out an says there back ordered till may 7th but I'm goin to give them a call aswell

If you are just putting the slip-ons and no other mods you don't have to do anything to the bike. If you change out the headpipe or remove the CAT with the CFR's you will need to have the bike tuned. You will have popping and backfiring issues.

Love my CFR's.

Direct Harley Parts are great..... CFR and V&H Power Duals with Rolands Sand filter all from DHP then bought a Power Commander called for a tune...the guys at Dynojet run CFR pipes and dialed my 2010 right in....runs great.......
