Everything you need is in the service manual. Only difference would be running wires through he bars. Google stuff like molex connectors and a video will come up from a Harley guy. What I did was make a sketch of the connectors before dissembling them. You could also take a couple pics Then it was easy putting it back together. A tricks I used was to run a small chain threw the bars first then tape the wires to one end and pull it through. I also taped the TBW connector to keep it from breaking inside the bars. Good luck

He could also purchase the SE TBW and not have to pull the connector through the handlebars just plug the wires into it afterwards.....

Default shoot me a message...

I have a copy of the .pdf with instructions and tips for a fairing bagger, but the same principles apply to road kings. I went with the SE TBW...it didn't involve any wire extensions and allowed me to customize their length. The process is pretty straight forward and a repair manual is a big help. I found that the process was really easy, even with the addition of the heat demons.

Yes he could. I was too cheap. Didn't see a need for it myself.

Thanks again everyone!
I plan on taking a closer lookk with some buddies within the next week, and if we think we can, we shall give it a go. Luckily, my indy shop is less than two blocks away... and its downhill! So if it all goes bad - we'll coast it in! lol.

Yesterday we started soddering wires, and made attempts to get the right side thru the bars... no luck yesterday, hopefully wish me luck, damn thats alot to pull thru those apes. Any ideas on what works well to lube the bars internally to assist getting the wires thru?

A few buddies of mine that have done this recently have sprayed Windex believe it or not and it worked for them.

Windex. Yeah, I'll give it a try. Should have thought of that. I have used it before to get my floorboard covers on...
