What about wiring, and adapter rings. I have the Chrome accent rings on the stock speakers. Also is there a depth issue for the polks mounting the rear speakers.

Just peel the stock grills off the speaker mounts and put between 6.5 adapters and fairing. Mine worked great with Dragonfly adapters.

I run 1200 watts worth of amps on my Ultra, with no mods to the charging system. Don't worry !!

You can't (or at least shouldn't) run the Polk MM series with the PBR300X4 4 channel amp. It's is rated for 4 ohms ONLY. I called RF to verify this. I'm going to run biketronics titan II in front and Polk 6.5" DXI series in the rear. The Polk DB and DXi series are 4 ohms, although the MM is a better speaker it is 2.7 ohms.

Ok, so is there a good 4 channel amp that will work with the Polk MM speakers. And will the polk with an amp sound better than the hog tune and the boom audio?

I can't answer about the amp, but yes, the polk will sound better than the hog tune and the boom audio speakers.

ARC audio has a 4 channel amp that is compatible with the Polk MMs. I'm getting ready to install their 2 channel amp in my fairing. I am currently running the MM6501 component speakers. No fitment issues at all.

J&M and Arc make the 4 channel amp that will run 2 ohm speakers. The amp is big and requires some extra mods to get it to fit. You need to remove some gauges and cut bezels. Also pricey.
The PBR300X4 can be bought for $140.00 on Amazon. The biketronices Titan II can be bought for $199.95 at Direct Harley or Eastern Performance Cycle did a price match when I called them and had them in stock. The Titans come with the adaptors.
I'm still looking for a good price on the DXi650 Polks for the rear.

Hogtunes Big Ultra kit can be bought around $400.00 complete with 4 speakers, amp and wiring . Some people are very satisfied with that. It will be louder and clearer than stock for sure.
