Help! Cruise stopped working.
So my cruise has always only worked after i hit the button from a couple times to sometimes 100. I just keep hitting it over in over and eventually it kicks in. Well today i took it to the dealership(non hd) to have some bad cables replaced on it(free cause they were bad when i got the bike) Well they replaced the cables and now i have no cruise at all. Any idea what i should look at?

make sure both brake light switches are working properly.
removing the right controls without using a shim ( like in the manual for the past 3 decades) will break the front brake switch.

So you bought a bike with bad cables and switches from these guys. Then you take it back to the same guys and get it back not working. Sounds like you might need to seek out another shop. Apparently whomever is working on your bike is unschooled. Good luck with the CC. Sounds like a switch problem from day one to me.

Dealer wants it back monday but that sucks donkey ***** that means no riding.....Not a good time.

So are you talking about if you remove the right side hand controls without a shim(please explain) it kills your break lights? I would love to explain this to the punkass kid that is wrenching on my bike when i take it to them tomorrow.
