"My boss said the same thing when I dropped a $75,000 piece of equipment.
If you're going use it you will eventually break it."

That's the kind of guy I want to work for...Right there!

Once you get that first one outta the way - the rest are easier to accept.

Nice boss and he probably only says this to the guys that take pride in their tools. There is a difference in using a tool and carelessly using a tool.

Cool

Only way to keep that from happening is to keep it inside a glass case and never ride it.

Sux.... but ya got the first one outta the way. Guess it's part of what makes your bike "yours."

Bugs (and yes.... a few rock chips) look better on a bike than dust.

Yes...when you purchase the vivid black touch up bottle it comes with a bottle of clear too. Bought it at the dealer it was like 20 or 22 bucks

Rub a little dirt on it & ride on... The 1st one hurts the most - rest are badges of riding honor.

I was driving one time and a rock hit my shin (also came from nowhere, no cars nearby). It left my shin and struck the gas tank, leaving a nice chip down to the bare metal Fortunately, the dealership still owed me a paint job on the tank from some factory paint flaws and they fixed that chip without charging me. Unfortunately they couldn't do anything about the equally sized chip in my shin. That one took much longer to repair.
