Just got my Tour Pak back from the painter for my RoadKing. I need some ideas for a nice clean look for a light set up. Not to much, simple but nice. LED's Thanks
I was on the fence for a long time in adding the LED setup from Harley and finally decided to give it a try. I LOVE how it looks with the color-matched frame. I watched ebay for quite a while and lucked into one for a real good price. I added a Ride Time Technology module that makes all the lights run/brake and the corners are turns. Stock function is just running lights with center brake light.
I added the Harley LED setup to my tourpak. The only mistake I made was not having it painted before installation. My bike is vivid black and the plastic framework of the light is flat black. I figured it would look good, and it does but, it would have looked outstanding had I had it painted.
The stock function of my LED setup was a conversion setup - ALL lights on when the bike is on - All lights brighter when applying the brakes and full turn signal fuction of the outer led's

I figured, I want as much light on the rear as I can get to keep the cagers off my ***. 1939 Ford led's and a 12" third brake lite from a suberban. All light up when braking, just the 12" doesn't stay on all the time. The rest also work as turn signals.

Figured them pointy Caddy lights would scare them away....
Check these guys out. Lots of ideas. I'm looking at a few also. I intend to keep 'em hidden until they're on.
I recently added a Custom Dynamics 75 LED strip to my Tour Pak. You can see the post about it here It was a cheap ($20-30) and easy install. I originally just added the light without the convertor because I only wanted it as a running light, but decided to add the convertor ($5 more) so now it is a running/brake light.
Since you have a RK, you won't have a tour pak harness to use for the run/brake wiring regardless of your choice for LED's; you'll need to use the accessory connector under the seat or, splice/Y-connector for the rear lighting on the bike.
Another vendor to consider is ridetimetechnology.com.
