I have a 08 SG that I bought used from a individual. I don't know the code/pin to start the bike incase I lose or forget my key fob. Is there a way to reset or clear the code and enter a new one?
I could be wrong here, but I think you need the code in order to set the code or override the fob, otherwise what would be the point of having a security code if any random putz could reset it?

The info is posted here on how to reset the security code as long as you have a working FOB....Without a fob your off to the dealer...
with your fob present (and presumably a good battery): this is how to find out what your present code is and even how you can go about changing it. This info is in your owners manual
ignition: on/off/on/off/on
left turn signal: press 3 times
right turn signal: press once
your present code will now be displayed in the odometer with the first digit flashing
to change your code, press the left turn signal to cycle the numbers. the right turn signal will act as the enter button.
after you've changed all 5 digits, the bike will exit the mode. just turn off ignition.
All that is needed to change the number is a working fob. The instructions are in the owners manual in the Hands-Free Security Module section.
If you don't have the owners manual you can view a online version on the HD website if you have a profile set up.
Haha, just a newbie! Have a title Gonna look at the HD site for the owners manual, otherwise need to get my hands of one.
The part number for a 08 Touring manual should be 99466-08
Like I said before if you register on the HD web site and set up a profile WITH your vin number you can look at most of the manual online. Still not a good substitute for the paper one though.
It's $20.00 msrp by the way.
