I have the HD half helmet with the pop down visor. When it rains, or snows, I pull it down half way just so I can see under it. Then I look just over the top edge of my windshield, the rain, or snow, hits either hits the windshield or visor. Leaving my glasses more or less dry and fog free.
The best anti fog I have used is called Fogtech. Last for about 30 days after applied. Works great. Back in my younger days I used it in my paintball and airsoft goggles and still use it in my face piece at work for firefighting.
Its really the only anti fog that I have found that works to my expectations.
I'm the one who posted about the swim goggles. They work great. I got mine at Wally World. I use Rainx anti-fog on the inside and they worked awesome. I used them in a down poor. It was raining so hard I could hardly see. I couldn't pull over at the time because I was on the highway. At the next exit I did. However, while on the highway, they worked great. Here is a pic of the ones I have.
Murph, I laughed when I read your post and saw those goggles, but one day I was at the store and saw some in black with the full silicone shield with no nose piece. I put them on and thought, ok maybe, they definitely seal. I bought them and some anti-fog, thought what the hell. Ok, fast forward, had a chance to use them the other day, holy crap, almost forty years of riding and I never heard of this idea before????? I won't laugh at you dude, I just want to say thanks! I'm betting the double glass ski goggles might work, too, but I love the seal on these, they will stay on my face with no strap.
I don't find goggles or glasses work well alone in the rain. It's not so much water protection as is the fact that the foam that seals the goggles or glasses anound the face soaks in the water and it drips down my face. I'll try wearing my 3/4 with faceshield if it's going to rain. That way I can be comfortable with my goggles and if it starts to rain I can flip down the faceshield. If caught with my 1/2 helmet I'll push the foam from the goggles against my face to wring it out every once in a while.

Yeah, I know. It sounds funny, but they work great. They are small enough to fit in your saddle bag with your rain gear. It makes a difference when riding, not to get water in your eyes.
Pledge? Will that work on windshield too? Seems it would streak...
NOOOO!!!! Pledge is the miracle cure for almost everything on the bike. It is GREAT on windshields. Dissolves bugs and leaves a clear silicone coating that makes the bugs slide off easily the next time and make rain run off. I also us it on the pull down visor of my half helmet which I only use if it rains.
I got mine at the annual MC show a few years ago. They have a web site https://www.zooke.com/. It's worked well for me 'outside the lab', with the caveat that I mentioned - leaves a bit o' residue on the lenses, but nothing major. I got the wax stuff, not the spray - have not tried that product. And yes, they had the mist going in their booth at the show.

+1
Tried the full face, tried the goggles & half helmet, no joy on either. Picked up one of these half helmets on sale, not for rain.
Couple weeks ago, got caught in a pretty heavy rain; the shield kept the rain from really hitting my glasses, so no fog; was able to keep the shield up in the wind over the windshield enough to keep the rain running off. Best of both worlds!
