I don't think there are any simple answers since almost anything will fog in the rain. Best thing I've found is a 3/4 helmet with a shield. At least it's off your face. Coat it with pledge or something that will shed water. You can do the same with your glasses or use antifog coating but they never work as well as you hope they will.
THe helmet/faceshield seems to be the best combo for me.
Some motorcycle gloves have a little rubber wiper blade to clear the rain off of the faceshield.
Full face helmets are the best for wet weather riding (and overall protection) but they do look "dorkey".
The one thing that you DO NOT DO.......apply Rain-X to your windshield!!!
(Trust me on this one!)
H-D makes their own brand of rain repellant that is Lexan/plastic friendly.
I wear prescription horn rim style glasses ( like ray ban wayfarers.)
in the wet the spray coming up from below is an issue.
I stretch a bungee across the mirror stalks, and hang a rag to catch the spray.
my windscreen is cut so that the air hits just at my hairline ( what is left of it)- I can move up into the air to blast any droplets off of my glasses.
Gogggles over glasses aren't worth fooling with in the rain. No matter how tight I push them on, rain still pelts my eyes. The best thing is a FF helmet and visor but the rain will still come up from underneath and fogging is a pain.
