I'm thinking about adding a little more style/flare to the cockpit by adding clear coat to the inner fairing / dash area - vivid black RG so I won't need paint.

Has anyone done this? Tried searching but came up with nothing.

Since you're going to remove the fairing, shoot it with rattle can clear for a preview. If you don't like it, paint it.
