I have a set of Vance&hines monster ovals on my street glide, I also have true dual head pipes and a 103 kit on it with a map download, my question is I want a little more sound out of them and u can't change the baffles on them can I punch the center stop out of them with out hurting performance or does any one have a set of rineharts there looking to trade for something quieter any info would be great thanks:icon_beerchug
You paid a lot of money for the research and development Vance & Hines put into those mufflers, why would you take a hatchet and destroy all of that. Better off selling them and buying something that better fits your wants. Never understood why people buy a great product and want to rip them apart to SEE IF they can improve on them. Just doesn't make sense.
The Fuel Moto Jackpot 4" Dyno tuned slip-ons are the pipes for you.
They have the deep sound of the Monsters, but they are louder.
I had the Monster Ovals; loved the sound and the look but got tired of changing out the peeling chrome tips. One day I will have them rechromed.
I replaced the Monsters for the Jackpots.
They're most certainly not the pipes for him because he has true dual headers and the 4" Jackpots have Asymmetrical baffles (Different Sizes left & right) to take advantage of a 2-1-2 setup, but he might be pleased with a set of Rush Big Louie pipes with standard baffles..........
