Well it would take a lot to write the conversation but she said she sent out two orders mine with one mount and another with two mounts. The other guy called and said he only got one mount so that meant I got two mounts. I said sorry but I only received one mount. She said somebody is lying, so I said I'm a man of honor a united states Marine a former police officer and have worked my current job for over 20 yrs. I make over $100,000 a year and I certainly don't need to steal a motor mount. She said when I first said I didn't have but one mount her first thought was " he's lying". So again I said I didn't have two mounts if another showed up I would send it back, I explained the package I received with the one mount and left it at that. She was not hateful or rude in tone just that I was a liar. If you knew me and knew where I came from it would be very clear why I take offense to that. Anyway as I said it's over, I just hope the mount is as good as they say.

NEV that comment "somebody is lying" would have pissed me off too. She had every right to think that but to say it to a customer is pretty stupid. I would call the company and speak to someone higher up on the food chain and make your complaint. Let them know you will not be buying any more of their products and that you have let your friends on HD forums know about it. Companies don't like this kind of publicity.

I would be a little pissed too! I had ordered a bunch of parts from a local dealer when they had a sale, and was missing one of the short angled hi-way peg mounts. I called the dealer, and the parts guy says, I have a hard time believing that you only got one! I told him why the hell would I call you and ask for the missing one, if I did in fact get both. Who would go through that to get an extra one from you, for what, to put on a shelf?
Then talked to his manager, and said he checked the inventory, and there was no extra one, so I must be trying to scam them! Then, I was seeing red, I had to hang up the phone before I unloaded on the guy. The only reason I ordered from them was my friend worked there at the time, so I calls him, and asked if he could straighten it out. Two hours later, the manager calls, and says they will "replace" the missing part on "good faith"! What a bunch of idiots, I will never do business with them again!
Not much worse than being called a liar or a thief!

That is absolutely horrible customer service. Here is the way it SHOULD have been handled:

"Sir, I'm very sorry, but we believe we've made a mistake and sent you two mounts instead of one. I apologize for the inconvenience, if you would be so kind as to check your box if you can locate it I would appreciate it if you could return it to us at our cost as we have another customer waiting for it. Could you please check and see if you have it? If you have it and can return it to us we'd like to thank you by offering you a discount on your next order."

For crying out loud, calling people liars is not the way to resolve problems, ESPECIALLY when they're the ones that caused the problem in the first place.

First, you never said they called you a thief or a liar; you inferred those conclusions from what was actually said which you neglect to relate in detail.

I can understand someone at the vendor being highly certain, although mistaken, that two units went out instead of one and pressed you to confirm one way or the other which you did.

By the way, presumably the shipping label will state the weight of the package which should be a pretty easy way to confirm whether one or two were shipped.

I have the Stabo unit. I liked the conversation I had with the owner, ( can't remember his name right now.) And the Stabo was half the price of the Glide Pro.

And I'm sure that he'd want to know how you were treated, so call him up and tell him. I'd certainly want to know if I owned the company. His shipping clerk just hurt his business, and he'll want to see that it doesn't happen again.

BTW, didn't yours come in a little vinyl envelope? Mine did and 2 mounts wouldn't have fit in there!

BTW, check all the mounts when you install the front unit. I like mine a great deal.
