Default Roady XT satellite receiver mount

I’m using the Roady XT satellite receiver in all three cars and in the motorhome. Now it’s time for the Street Glide

Can someone recommend a nice unobtrusive mount for this system? I’d like to mount the antenna under/inside the faring. Any ideas how to go about it? I know it will work as it “sees” through the fiberglass roof of the Winnebago with no problem.

Thanks…Dan

Mounted my ant. on top of raido under fairing. Did not like any of the handle bar mounts or fairing mounts. I just did not want it to be seen I guess. Since I always listen to the same station I mounted mine in the right saddle bag, drilled a hole on the back side to route wires through I put quick dissconnect plug on power wire so bag is removable still. Works out great for me.

Ride Safe,

Mike

Mike,

What about the antenna wire? Quick disconnect as well?

Made the hole just big enough to get the ant. plug through. I think it was 3/8. Then used a split rubber bushing to seal it.

Ride Safe,

Mike

I went to cyclegadgets.com and have a mount on brake side.
Got myself a power supply and taped off cigar lighter in fairing.
Att.mounts on same mount as radio. But like most things it will come down to taste.

Go to www.hoonhardware.com and get the mount that attaches to the brake reservior. The Roady 2 quick attaches to the front and the magnetic antenna has a little shelf above the Roady. All of the the antenna wiring is velco'd inside the mount. I then ran the power cable along the brake cable to inside the fairing and tapped into the cig lighter cable. Works great and is inexpensive.
