I know we've discussed this, but here's a new wrinkle.....what seat is best for a guy my size? I'm 6'1' 325...ok..ok...337lbs.....The stock seat kills me on long rides.....I've heard the sundowner is great, but wanted to know from someone who's my size.....
You might want to consider a Police Seat with a matching Mustang rear pad. The air bag lets you adjust the ride and the seat is made to fit extra wide a$$e$ like mine... I have the police seat on my 06 Classic and wouldn't trade it for anything. You could probably try one at the local dealer.
I agree with the Road Zeppelin. I've had it on my ultra for almost 2 years. It's wide (21"), and it has inflatable air bags that helps you change your riding position while you are traveling along. You would be amazed how a little change can make a big difference. They ain't cheap.. but IMO, you can't get any more cush for the tush. Try HALESHD.com. 20% off every part, every day, no tax and reasonable shipping. Tell Jim his frequent buyer from NC passed his name along. They are great folks to deal with!
Oh yeah... the back pillion is 17", and the lady will enjoy that too! Mine is spoiled. We went to Hawaii for the State HOG rally, and rented a Street Glide. While the riding and people were great, she really complained about the comfort of the seat, and she hugged the Zeppelin when we got home.
I would like to know if anybody has tried the new seats from Pro Seat Pads. Their seat pads are very good and now they are making seats. Here they are:
Hey Dick, I used one of your seats pictures for my banner add that will be placed here on the forum. Theywere supposed to have it ready today but I guess they got behind on making it
