So you guys really do use your horn?
Am I missing out? Will I get more HP?
I think I can say, that in all my motorcycle years, I have used my horn less than a half a dozen times. Yes, I ride in traffic, yes I have been cut off, better to react than blowing my horn at someone.
Good Luck with your new horns, seems like a good deal.
I bent the bracket on mine so the bottom of the horn is directed at the cylinders. When the engine gets hot, I hold down the horn button for about five minutes, the air from the horn blast cools the cylinders ......
Horn not worth it , not much louder than stock , if any . They must have measured that 132 decibels in an enclosed small space. Put my stock HD horn back on .
Are you serious? Mine make a BIG difference compared to the wimpy stock horn.
We're talking about 2 Freeway Blasters, hi and lo tone, right?
I thought I was helping out with a cheap upgrade to the stock horn but again, I should have kept my mouth shut!!
If you can pick up a cheap self-contained air horn and mount it on your saddlebag bracket, that along with the Freeway Blaster should fill your needs. Total price with air horn, relay, wire, zip ties and the Blaster should be under $80.
That way you have a horn on both sides of your bike that will rattle your teeth when you push the horn button.
As far as total decibels, I'm a retired cop not an acoustical engineer, so I can only make assumptions and wild estimates. All I can say is, if the air horn puts out a claimed 139db and the Freeway Blaster puts out a claimed 132db, exactly what's the total output together of both horns???
oh it will be allright , not the first time I bought something I was nor real impressed with and darn suse not the most expensive , it is a little louder and I do have a spair now but I think Imight get the high tone now and you did not make us get them
Installed the horn this morning and without a doubt it is Much louder than stock... A really good $16.00 investment IMHO.
Thanks to the OP for the heads up.
