Anyone's experience with Rinehart Xtreme True Duals headers, is appreciated. I have a 2011 FLHX and I like the look of these headers. Am wondering how are they to live with?
EJ.
I have them and I like them and love the sound from them. The only thing I do not care for is how it's hard to check the oil dipstick or tranny dipstick if the pipes are hot due to the routing of the rear pipe but it also has it's advantages such as I didn't have to remove my pipes when I changed out my clutch cable when I changed out my bars as the pipes do not block the clutch cable housing.
I love my pipes, but Ill second on the oil not getting checked when the bike is hot. I am thinking about getting one of those digital oil caps that tells me the amount and temp to take care of that.
I also got a Stage 1 Cleaner and I am running a PCV.
I love the sound, its is way faster.
My only other issues is there is less torque when my wife is one the back, but its only from a stand still when i can notice it.
You can not check the oil by hand when the bike it hot. Really wish I hadnt got them. Also if you are getting black Ill warn you now that the coating isnt worth a pinch of puppy ****. Had my mufflers replaced and now my heat shields are turning. Wouldnt buy another set if I had the chance.
I've had mine since day 1 and they are still in primo shape with the chrome still nice and shinny and I'm not one to futz over it doing a spit polish! I'd rather be riding than wiping!
I have Rinehart 4" slip-ons on my 2011 Road King. Is there a true dual header kit that I can use and keep the slip-ons? Or do I have to start over and loose the slip-ons?
