I have a Road King Classic and as with most people, the stock bars are killing my back. I am not crazy about beach bars or apes but the bagger bars look pretty good. Does anyone have the wild 1's bagger bars on thier RK Classic and if so, what do you think? Thanks,
Best mod to date, had the same problems with being hunched over and it was killing my back. Second best mod, Mustang Seat w/ backrest. Wild 1 Chubby Bagger Bars:
I have an 03 Rk standard and had the same problem. Found a link on a website (one that HD was trying to shut down) and it said to use the bars from and 04 rk custom vs the wo508s. i tried it and man what a difference. only had to change the brake line and the bars were cheaper than the wild ones
My Road King Classic is going into theshop next week to trade out the beach bars for the Wild 1 Chubby 518's. I did a search here on the forum andthosewho have them are all saying thesame thing....that they are incredible! Take a closer look at either the Chubby's RK-508's or RK-II's -518's.
I was going to go with 575s but was warned away from it. They are made wider across the basein order toclear the batwing fairing on EGs. I went with the 513s. (mini-apes) If you're worried about apes (as I was) just measure the rise on your stock bars. The 513s have a rise of 8.5 inches. My stockers were about 6.5.
What made you decide to go with bagger bars? I think they look great on your King.

Road a friends RK with the bars. He did not know what they were, called the shop and gave them the name, they gave me the model. Put about 350 miles on it one day on a trip to the mountains and KNEW they were right for me. Absolutely perfect for my build / seat / riding position preference.
