Got me some of those usa chrome exchange 9 spoke wheels coming for the Glide, also got the russel rotors, I know it's not the 21" wheels I wanted but couldn't shell out the scoots for them as of now but maybe latter, I'll try to post some pictures when I get them on, here's what they will look like.
Should be cool!--My wrench is coming to take my egc away todayto do the chrome front end, polished stock rotors, and were also having the stock wheels "turned down" and chromed. Lets all post pics. I think chroming the stock rims is a cost effective bling. thing--PEZ
I'd love to put some chrome wheels on my Roadglide. Just can't part with the bucks. Nothing improves the looks of any Harley than a good set of wheels.
Your right on the cost thing Pez, I'll have about 1,000 dollors in all when they are put on, thats with new rotors, bearings and my tire's swapped to the new rims, it would have been around 2,100 just for the other wheels.
I cannot believe how expensive it is to have some wheel plated. I was quote $750 for two rotors, two wheels and 4 hubs. I nearly crapped!
Still not sure what I am going to do with the wheels I am making: (21/18 combo)-----
new 21"----
but I think I'm leaning towards having them polished, then a clear powdercoat put on over it. Just not sure how it's going to stick to a polished wheel.
Chrome is so friggin' expensive. Cash is tight for a bit. So this was my solution. I should be into these wheels and tires for under $1000.
BTW, those are nice chrome HD wheels. They'll put some bling bling on your ride!
