After two days of heavy rain on trip going south, I got the bright idea of using Rain-x on our windshields in Gastoina, Ga.

When we got home I tried everything to remove the "cloudy" film that was on our windshields, but nothing worked.

I wasn't really all that concerned over my windshield because it was older anyway and being on a FLHTCUI, it didn't cost and much as the one on my wife's Heritage, and no where near as much work.

DON"T USE THE RAIN-X!!!!
H-D has a product for the windshields that doesn't harm them.

http://freedomshields.net/Cleaning_S...96_Plexus.html Rain should just glide right off a clean, scratch free shield. Rain-X shouldnt be needed.

+1 on the Plexus. A little pricey but a very good product.

[QUOTE=longrideshields-1;9804994]good to know fat_tony! Guess it depends on the windshield. Polycarbonate is kind of touchy. I wax mine with the bike, that's always done the trick for me.[/ ]
Works for me , plus bugs wash right off. Good detailed also
