Default CVO take-off mufflers
I just picked up a set of 2012 CVO mufflers and will be installing them on my stock 2012 Streetglide. My future mods are to de-cat my spare OEM header and do an intake. I then will have the bike TTS/Dynoed at Skip's Speed and Custom Cycles in Winchester, VA.
Will I be OK with the CVO mufflers for now or would I need programming?

You will be fine...I have been running them for over a year without a down load....I modified my stock air box to breath better without a download...or any problems...I have a 2009 flstc with no cat.

Installed the CVO slipons. They sound the same as the OEM and bike runs fine, it does look better IMHO.

I run the same on my 2012 Road Glide Ultra. I cleaned out the cat and reworked the inside of the mufflers. Runs/sounds great.

Im looking to get a 2012 CVO Roady, will the pipes that come on that sound "good" or will they sound like a normal stock Harley?

i have 2011 cvo mufflers on my 01 EG.. they do sound better. still pretty quiet at idle, sounds good under load..great if you like listening to the stereo.

Thanks. I want a deep rumble. Any comparison to VH 4" monster rounds? I like those.

I had a set of 2012 CVO mufflers on my 09 catless classic.They are a nice looking pipe but they had less of a rumble than the stock 09 pipes.There is no comparison to the V&H 4" rounds,I had them,or the 4" Rhinharts,which I have now.

MajorJim - I have a spare head pipe to be decatted. Can you explain "reworked the inside of the mufflers"
