Prevent an oil leak
Yep, that exhaust bracket bolts onto the bottom of the side door. I took my exhaust completely off to get access to all bolts on the side door, removed and cleaned each bolt, dotted them with blue loctite and retorqued to 25ft-lbs. No more leak. Took me about two hours, but a Harley tech will probably charge 4 to do the same job.

I had this leak on my 2009 SG last winter in storage. On mine the problem was a deteriorated gasket between the transmission housing and bearing housing on the right side for on the exhaust bracket bolts.

I actually lost one of the bolts. Don't know how it didn't leak. The front one stayed tight, but the dealership pulled it also and put lock-tite on both it and the new one. No problems since then.
This is good advise to anyone just getting one of the new bikes. Check and lock-tite those bolts!
