I added the speaker to my FLHTK with no assist from the dealer. Worst part was taking off the faring. Know the dealer would have screwed it up! And then charged me to fix!

Default Boom Audio 1978 FLH

Could someone please help with the wiring diagram to install Boom Audio, MP3 powered system on my 1978 FLH?
Directions state to use relay part #69200397 would this relay be required on my old FLH without all the bells
and whistles?
Thanks
Diamond Jim

Default Self Install

I was able to do the full install myself. If you can read you can do it. Just remember. DO NOT TURN ON THE RADIO BEFORE YOU GO TO THE DEALER AND HAVE THE RADIO AND AMP FLASHED!!!!!!!!!!! Also I just spoke to Harley Davidson and there is a major problem with the stage II system. The amp clips and makes the speaker pop. I am being told that they are working on a software update that is due out mid April 2016 so it should be any day. My local harley dealer is in contact with the regional rep and they are trying to help me. I have been all over the internet including this forum and it seems that everyone has this problem. I would rip out the whole system if I did not have so much money in it. I had J&M in my last bike and loved it. For some reason on a CVO Street Glide that comes from the factory the Boom Audio Stage II sounds amazing but even Harley can't tell me why they can't get it right as an add on. All the components are the same.
