Default Removing wax from black engine paint?

Whats the best way to remove wax that got onto the black engine paint? Plus whats the best way to matain it? No it wasn't from me...

If you can get to it I guess that a soft brush (paint brush) and a little hot water will do the trick.
I bought a can of engine brightner yetserday but have not tried it yet but, I believe something similar afterwards might help too.

Stoner brand Trim shine. Buy it from Amazon. It's for auto interiors but it melts wax and makes the black parts dark and shiny again. Just spray it on and buff the overspray off the chrome. Works good on rubber and plastic too

Armor All always works for me. Not only shines up the black on the engine but works on the rubber hoses. Can be purchased at any auto parts store. Easy clean up by wiping up the chrome surfaces. Last pretty long.

Heat it with a hair dryer and dab it with paper towel to absorb it.

WD-40 works great on black engines, doesn't stain at all and removes grease.

Griots paint prep is specifically formulated to remove wax from paint and leave no residue.
