Just curious. Does anyone know what "issue(s)" was/were addressed w/ the update? http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US...io-system.html Usually when there is a software update for other (non-HD) software, there is an explanation - go figure. The only thing I notice right off after installing the update is that the radio gets MUCH louder.

The "issue addressed" would depend on what your updating from and to.
We do know this: None of the software updates will make the unit louder. Output volume is hardware based, not software related.
Think twice before updating the HK. There have been reports of the update screwing up the unit and having to undo the update, do you have a copy of the original? No one has reported any difference after the update, other than the OP here. If it ain't broke, you better think twice before fixing it.
Two different software components are displayed. Each is followed by the
letter “v” to indicate the version, such as “v7.4.0”. If “ST10” is v8.25.0
or newer (2011 models), you do NOT need to proceed with the software
update, you will see no improvements.
