Default RPM jumps up while upshifting

This just happens several days ago, when I upshift, the rpm jumps up ~200 right before the next gear. I thought is my right hand holding the throttle open as I engage the clutch. But I totally let go of the throttle before I squeeze in the clutch, same thing. Throttle doesn't seem to be sticking.

Any idea? TIA.

It happens when you go from loaded engine to an unloaded engine. The more the eninge is worn in the more noticeable it is.

Ive noticed it, its like the TBW doesnt spring back to idle still giving the same throttle before you let go of it. Had to twist it back more than once..its not that big a deal for me for now.

My bike got 42k miles on it. Serviced by indy every 5000 miles with Lucas synthetic oils in all holes. I'll keep an eye on it.
