I went to a PowerVision class at dynojet. This is what I remember...

Prior to the last major software/firmware upgrade for your PV unit & WinPV software (approx. Sept/Oct 2013), all that info is in the tune, just not visible.

The new tunes will automatically show that info when loaded into the new WinPV. If you have a tune made prior to that major upgrade, you load it into WinPV and there is a selection in one of the drop down menus at the top that "updates" the tune. Basically, it converts the old tune to a new style tune, which unlocks/shows all the info that was previously hidden.

Sadly, I am a MAC guy and the WinPV is on my "other" laptop that I have for tuning only. I can't remember where that update command is located and won't be able to look for it for a few days....

I hope this helps a little....
This is what I did. In Winpv software, top toolbar, under "Powervision", select the upgrade map option, and follow along. It will convert the old map to the upgraded version which now has the speedometer calibration. Then you can send this upgraded map to the PV and load it into your ecm. My questions are, why is the value in my speedometer at "0"? When I download this new upgraded map to the bike, where in the "Quicktune" do I enter the new value?

BINGO... that's the procedure I remember.

Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to your questions. I will check my notes in a few days and see if I can find the answer. My class notes are kept with my tuning computer.

I have to admit, I learned a lot in that class. So much so, that I only retained a small portion. The PV can do so much, and I am just a rookie in this computer tuning world, just trying to learn as much as I can. I could easily take the class again and probably learn as much the second time...

When you go into Quick Tune select the Config tab There is a box that says VSS. I'm thinking it is the same adjustment that you can make in the software on the computer.

That is correct, mine is at 2140 pulses in the config. screen. I guess I just have to figure out the correct number to enter...wont know that until I can roadtest it. Thanks everyone, Ive always wanted an accurate speedometer, dont know why motorcycles are always way off.

2282 is where I ended up for accuracy at 70mph. It's right on but as a tire wears it changes some. I have done this on 2 bikes and wonder why the MOCO can't just set it right from the factory.

Don't know if it is true or not, but it is some sort of regulation that the speedo read 2 mph fast. Wouldn't surprise me any. You can probably get the gear ratio per gear adjusted and get it accurate everywhere. Here is the list of ratios per gear in PV.
0.21528 1st gear.
0.31063
0.41779
0.51511
0.60850
0.71761 6th gear
Bet you I could get confused thoroughly with this many numbers.

I was wondering, if you update (calibrate) does it also update the odometer?

Your odometer will work in conjunction with the speedo.

I have to ask, where did you find those gear ratios at? My Tach hasn't been right since my first download with the PV
