PV and speedo/odo are off, and I dont think they should be, they use the same data.

But odo is off by 0.78%

On a recent ride my PV trip center mileage did not match the odo mileage.

Am I missing something? I am using the quick tune to change the vss parameters

Thanks
The HD brain , tells Power vision the speed , so should B about about the same --PV cannot figure speed out , has to use what comes from HD brain,,,-- GPS on phone takes in 7 to 14 SATS , is very accurate . I use Speed View Pro 2 or 3 bucks . Does a lot of stuff , 1/4 mile distance and on and on .Power vision has great support .

It will require a second license. The Power Vision is married to the first vehicle it is used on.

You can also do it just from the PV. Goto Quick Tune, once there goto the config tab. You will see a box marked VSS. Make note of that number and make and save your changes. Remember if you reflash from the stores tunes and you did not modify it in the tune it will over right that number

Yes, you can do this with the unit attached to the bike in Quick Tune.

There was a thread a few months ago with the guys who have FP3's and theirs will auto adjust based on the GPS in their phones. From what they were saying somewhere between 2235 - 2245 pulses is correct for a stock bagger with a 180 rear tire. Mines set at 2233 and I think that came from a map I got from Fuel Moto.

You don't have to use the pc to do it. You can change the vss directly from the power vision. It's I the quick tune section. Very easy to do.

Sorry didn't read the whole thread.

On a Rushmore model with the GPS, is the speed displayed on the screen linked to the vehicle speed sensor, or is it actual GPS speed? My screen and speedometer are slightly off. I use the number on the screen more often, and it is accurate, but I will adjust the speedometer with the Power Vision if they aren't linked...

My guess is they are separate as lot of models don't have GPS and their speedometers work. Too simple to have GPS display its own speed and not use the ecm to supply. My guess.
If you have PV you can change the PV speedometer calibration about 100 points more and the speedometer should read about 3 mph faster. Then compare and see if different.

Hey Mac. Where have you been brother? Haven't seen you on here in quite some time.

I verified the speedo and GPS speed are not linked. I was able to adjust my speedometer the 1.5 MPH at 60 to make them read the same. Verified with phone GPS also.
