I know this question has been asked before. I was trying to look in some section that had older questions so not to waste anyone's time, but here you go. I have a completly stock 2010 Ultra Limited. I'm just looking for a good set of slip ons. I don't want to do a Stage 1 upgrade, big air kit, or programer. I just want a little deeper sound but still enjoy my music. Thanks for reading.
Try the "American Custom" website. They will modify your existing pipes or send you a set; you then send them back your originals and get the core charge refunded to your card. Very inexpensive!
You really should consider a Stage 1 though, after all it is only a free-er flowing air cleaner, mfg by H/D so there are no warranty issues. A re-map (and there are a ton of opinions out there on this issue) is only about $150 and your bike (and warranty) are running spot-on...
Think of it this way: more air in, more air out, a simple recalibration to your ECM and the bike is running the way they all would - if not for California and NY polution control regs.
I would do a disc type muffler if you want to be able to hear your music. The thing is what you think is loud might be quiet to someone else or vice versa, and the disc systems allow you adjust the tone to suit you. SE or Supertrapp would work well.
If you are looking for just a "little more" thunder so you can still enjoy the music you might look at the SE slip-ons. Supposedly they add just +2db to the sound level. (According to *MY* dealer's parts expert.)
