Just an update on my tranny...bike has been in the shop over 2 weeks now waiting for parts. ESP covers all internal parts replacement of tranny, which they are doing, but not a complete tranny since the case was not damaged, hence the long delay for all of the parts. It appears there are part revisions to input shaft and main bearing, which is the reason for the delay. Tech says snap ring on input shaft bagged out and let things start sliding till the grinding commenced. This is a total bummer...
While a Bummer not to be riding .. Hopefully with the revisions turns out to be a better fix ..
I see. Are you a supporting vendor? I see where you are the most recent poster on a number of posts. At least 4 or 5 all in a row. All of your replies are exact copies of one another. That's looking a lot like spam.
I'm sure we would appreciate any info you can provide, but not just advertising.
We are in the process of becoming a sponsor to this great site, we love this forum. The reason you see our post recently is because as we look around, there is a lot of the same problem. Our website has more information in our product. But rest assured, we are here to fix this primary problem it seems everyone has, not just trying to spam you all and get a sale.
I see. Thanks for the update and info. I'm not a moderater or anything. I just wanted to point out my opinion.
54,000 miles on my '07 WG. No ext. warranty. $1000 to replace mainshaft and bearing as well as trapdoor bearings. Always used Formula + in trans and primary. Get it back from the shop and I have a sharp tapping sound coming from the primary. The tech said its the automatic primary chain adjuster that hasn't ratcheted up yet. I was told to ride it hard in low gear and chop the throttle and the torque reaction should cause it to ratchet. It won't. Shouldn't have to listen to this. I'll give it another day or two.
