If you really listen for it you can hear it. I would say there is less valve train noise in my 103 than the 95 that I had them in before. I've been running them so long I really don't hear it any more. For what its worth I believe it's a great cam, but I will say it is more for aggressive riding, I tend to rev my bike out a little farther than most. These cams like to be rev'd out more than most bagger riders like to ride though.

I have the 54 H cams installed for about 3,000 miles now. You can definately hear/notice more clickin and tickin than I heard from the stock cams on a 103. It is not overly loud and you will get used to it. Of course the stock headpipe and mufflers were changed too, and even with the louder exhaust I still noticed the valve train made more noise than before.
Still, its not too bad and the cams are a big improvement over the stock setup...Nice midrange and power to pass when you need it.
