pushrod roller bearings ?
ive been told that i have to replace my bearings what move on the pushrods to keep the tappets moving right and tight and was wondering how easy a job it is to do as been told its only a case of dropping the front engine mount and then you can take the rocker covers off then you can lift the pushrods and replace the bearings ??
thanks

Like Dawg said, and I paraphrase: WTF?!
On Twin Cams there's rollers that ride on the cams, on the end of the tappets. The pushrods fit into a cup on the other end of the tappets. The other end of the pushrod, in the head, fits into a cup in the rocker...

I think he's talking about upgrading to roller rockers. The "bearing" part roll on the rocker arms, ( the pivot point between the pushrod and the valve.) Stockers just use bushings.
Is that what you mean?

yes thats what i meant sorry as thats what they were called when i went to a local custom bike builder
apparently mine are wearing out causing the tappets to make a tapping noise louder than normal if they can be heard as normal running

What kind of build do you have? A mildly built twin cam should not need rolling rockers. I would consider them on a radical cam or an evo due to them having more pushrod angle than a twin cam.
Agree with above, if you have a stock engine or a mild build then you don't need roller rockers. The tolerances can be checked and you can shim the rockers or replace them with new.
