Had a set of Harley wind deflectors for my Fatboy and they worked great. Getting ready to place an order for the Harley wind deflectors for the King. $55.96 from Lakeshore Harley.
JES Deflectors are the best upgrade since I went to the 120r motor. I can now hear music at 70mph + and no wind knocking my head around. Should have bought these sooner!

Yeah, after adding the deflectors I can hear my stereo so well on the freeway now that I realized how crappy it sounds and had to order a new amp & speakers
I installed the HD brand chrome fork deflectors on my 2011 Limited, and I left the hard lowers on as well. The HD catalogue and the dealership parts guy both said they won't fit with the hard lowers in place, but they do fit just fine. I live in central Texas and even in the 100+ heat, I don't have issues with engine cooling. The deflectors eliminate the dreaded up-the-nose updraft which drives me nuts. I can't ride long with my moustache up my nostrils and my eye glasses vibrating holes in my nose. The deflectors fixed that problem.
That is good to know. I have an 09 Ultra and was wondering. Thanks.
I just put a set on my bike today and all I can say is WOW!!!
I, too, have been trying to quiet down the buffetting. I think i can honest say that I'm happy with the way things are with my bike. (I know I will find more parts to buy in a shot time though... You all know how that goes...)
Here is how my bike (2010 SG)is set up now. (cosmetic-wise)
Burly slammer kit.
LRS ultra 7" med tint.
LRS wings
HD vented lowers
HD pullback bars
2011 SG seat (modified by MCC, super narrow)
Adjustable riders backrest.
Fork mounted deflectors.
Lower tree deflectors.
I'm considering a 8" or 10" monkey bars by Bagger Nation.
But for now, I am very pleased how I don't feel annoying buffetting, just a breeze in my face (even at 80+ mph)!
I STRONGLY recommend those fork mounted deflectors. I, too. Was not too sure of the way they make my bike look, but I'm learning to like them already, looks wise. It makes my bike look like a heavily armored tank!! Lol.
If you have adjustable upper fairing vents, you may have to cut off some material for them to swing fully back (they're polycarbonate and can be cut with heavy duty shears then sanded). Or install fixed vents. Also, bend the chrome fork lowers as required to fit in front of the hard lowers when turning the bars (bend them forward). If they then hit the turn signals, move the signals forward in their mount (there's two holes and they come installed in the rear one).
New 2012 SG owner...wow, I've been through a few windshields already but I can tell you for me the LRS Ultra paired with these JESCUSTOM fork deflectors did the trick...90% of all wind turbulence is gone, and the remainder is just pitter patter left from the windshield (I got the 7"). I actually feel a little wind force on my back pushing forward which is nice for a change! I didn't even need the hog wings I got from LRS...haven't tried them yet either but I'm very happy with the looks and performance I have now.
