this is so stupid and many of your comments is why this forum is turning into a candy *** forum , the op never said he was going to ride around town , in and out of neighborhoods raising hell , you are all assuming he is not responsible enough to ride easy when he should and only let them bark when it wouldn't be an issue , for years the biker community was made up of people who didn't judge one another regardless of their differences , but the times they are a changing just read this thread , today it seems to be made up of a bunch of holier than thow preachers who think they have all the answers and are more closed minded than the ones they are preaching to
Soooo you're preaching to the preachers! Ok got it!
I don't know how loud the OP wants his pipes to be but I love the rumble of a Harley. It's music to my ears but I along with every one I know hate the sound of an obnoxiously loud pipes. It reminds me of a time when couple of my friends and I were at a rally eating at a sidewalk cafe when a guy came by with a set of pipes that made your insides vibrate. An old timer stood up and said to the crowd. " the reason that guy has such loud pipes is because he has a 2 inch dick." There were about 30 people eating and drinking at the time and they all busted out laughing. The women laughed the loudest and longest.
Different opinions make the world go round. That's not what makes you an asshat.
But entering a thread titled "I want loud pipes" just to say that it's ruining things for the rest of us is like going to your buddy's bonfire party just to tell everyone fire is dangerous. It's obnoxious and no one wants u there. And THAT makes u an asshat.
Your analogy is total bullshit, and the thread title is "Cheapest and Loudest Pipe around?". It's just a matter of time that the HD attention ****** will put a stop to being able to enjoy any kind of aftermarket exhaust around where I ride, but I should STFU because the topic doesn't concern me?? It concerns anyone who cares about having the opportunity to put aftermarket exhaust (or anything to boost performance) on their motorcycle!
BTW, I would love to know what someone gets from a motorcycle that has the cheapest and loudest pipe around - besides a bike that runs and sounds like ****.

This is gonna be good...
So you DID read the title of the thread!
Yet you STILL came in, not offering an opinion on what pipes he should get (as the title which you admittedly read asked for), rather preaching your agenda and your dislike for him wanting his bike to sound better on the cheap.
You're badly missing my point. I have no problem with how strongly you feel about idiots who are making it very easy for legislation to be passed on motorcycle exhaust. I do have a problem with you dropping in here to say so. There are probably a dozen active threads where people are debating the pipe issue. Take your points there. Don't bring your agenda to this dudes thread where all he wanted was opinions.
I am reading all these post and really didnot not want to get involved in this topic however I find myself getting upset. I have been riding 35 years and I respect everyones opinion. To insult and degrade ,this is not the place to do it.
We say you meet the nicest people on Harleys I still believe this to be true...I'm going for a ride!!!
