I had Cycle Shack slipons on my 2010 Wide Glide and they sounded pretty good and that was with the cat. I might add their customer service was excellent. There was a problem with a bracket so I emailed them a picture. It wasn't long and I got a call from them saying they were going to express mail me another bracket. I received it quick and that took care of the problem. For what it's worth I have had much bigger and more popular companies not give me that kind of customer service.

I am not a fan of excessive sound that intrudes on my riding, but there are times...

One of these days I will pull the baffles from my Pythons and get it out of my system !!

Loud Pipes argument is along the VERY same lines as "Guns don't kill people... People Kill People!"

Do what you want, but be a responsible member of society, that's my motto (well, 1 of my mottos LOL)

You, sir, are an asshat for reasons twofold.

One, if you think that by the OP making his proposed modification to his bike in another part of the country, that your rights to run an aftermarket exhaust will be directly affected or furthermore taken from you, then you are an asshat.

If he chooses to do so, the only DIRECT consequence will possibly be a loud pipes ticket at the next rally he attends.

And if federal law soon dictates that aftermarket pipes are illegal, it wont be because the OP has a happy throttle hand, it'll be because thousands before him abused the **** out of the right and now you, me, and everyone else, INCLUDING the OP has to suffer.

Two, if you think that your self righteous bitching on an Internet forum is going to change the OPs mind on something he desires to do to his bike, then you are an even bigger asshat than you showed yourself to be in reason one.

The man asked for opinions on pipes, not opinions on whether or not he should do this to his bike. That means his mind is made up. I dont think any measure of you going "sniff sniff sob please don't run loud pipes, I'm sensitive sniff sniff" is going to reverse the decision in his.

Have a blessed day, sir.

Default Now what?

It wasn't my intention to raise so much ruckus over asking a simple question. I appreciate everybody's opinion and respect those who are passionate about staying within reason...sound and volume wise.

Panama City Beach holds Thunder Beach twice a year. 25,000 bikers from all over come here to party, ride, enjoy the beach, etc. I totally enjoy the thunderous roar some bikes make from stop light to stop light (this is also where I work). My Monster Ovals are very sedate...and that is fine 95% of the time. BUT during those rallies...I also want to make some noize. We usually ride out in the country where NOBODY cares. How many quiet bikes do you hear at Daytona on the strip?

Again, thank you for stating your opinions and preferences on what you feel is right.

Dex

You are a fuking genius. You have it all figured out... only share ideas, perspectives, and opinions if it is the same as the OP's. Anyone who does otherwise is an asshat. Got it.
