Seven miles outside of Paint Bank, VA, there is a tight right-hand curve with some of my DNA on it. A dip in the road, on the curve, charged my suspension while I was acting like a sport-bike rider on my tourer. The engine guards came in contact with the pavement and the motorcycle turned into a sled instantaneously. This happened about three weeks ago.
Good news, though! No oncoming car/truck, the opposite road shoulder kept the bike from going over a drop-off, there was only minor damage to my bike, and I experienced only a little road rash that has already healed.
I learned to slow down and increase my chances to ride tomorrow; however, to do so in style, I am in need of a stock, front engine guard and right rear engine guard that will fit an '07 FLHTCU. Search your garage's attic and let me know if you have one to sell. ...Don
P.S. Paint Bank is a great place to ride to if you are careful on the curves.
The chrome engine guard is cheap enough at dealer. Its like 200. Most you will find are already scraped. As for thre rear guard try Ebay. You might find one side
