I'm looking at the same setup (Ohlins out back, Race Tech kit in front). Did you do the whole Race Tech "Fork Suspension and Lowering Kit" (FLEK S38) setup with springs & all? In back did you do the 13.2" Ohlins or 12"? Thanks!

PS, sorry to OP for the thread poaching

Default 21/17 combo on 2011 fltrx

My bike.. Didn't lower front or rear.. No issues other than slightly more harsh ride up front.. No big difference.. I'm not tall 5'11" and like the front being raised with the 21.... Looks good too

Well I'm happy for you... I do know that I read pages and pages of reviews and they were 60/40 with a slight higher percent of people saying they were happy. In my opinion I think people say they are great because they spent a lot of money on them... its just my opinion that for this kind of money the reviews should be a slam dunk... and they're not that's all.

Def recommend going with the 21" up front - to each his own, however most guys do come back for the matching rear...Ryd Safe, Hope you find what you're looking for.

I put a 21" front wheel and 18" rear wheel on my 2008 Street Glide and my suggestion to you is to leave it the way it is at first and see how you like it. I am leaving mine alone as I like the ride and my bike handles better than the 16" stock wheels that came on it. The labor cost will be nearly the same if you choos to do it at a later time. My mechanic suggests not changing too much too fast!

The 21" looks great and rides fine. No major problems. If you don't lower it.
It will raise the front axle 1 1/4" so dropping the front back down an inch does improve the drivability in parking lot situations (pulling in and out of drive ways and such).

21 on the front and 17 on the back with a 200 rear tire. Love the look and it handles just fine.

When I did my 21" wheel I used progressive springs and dropped the front end 1" and put in the ricor intimidators. Bike handles and rides great!
