Default EG intercom volume problem?

Good evening. I recently traded up to a 2012 EG Limited and my wife and I use the on board intercom system. In general it provides crisp and clear commo with limited static. However, the rear (passenger) volume will routinely and on its own decrease from the level we set it to "mute" after just a few minutes of riding. My wife or I are constantly reaching back and toggling up the volume to bring her headset back on line. We are not accidently bumping it, her arms rest nowhere near the control and it does not look damaged. I plan on heading to the dealer, I just wanted to check with you all and see if anyone else has experienced a similar issue with the volume control.
Thanks in advance.

I haven't had any problems with mine. It definitely sounds like there is a problem with yours. Bad switch or wiring short is my guess.

Wife and I use ours with no problems except that the VOX is so sensitive that we have to turn it up so much that we end up having to use the PTT buttons instead. Guess my pipes are too loud.

I've had to turn the VOX way down too as the boom mike keys on the exhaust anytime you have it set so you can talk without pushing the button.

The volume for the intercom shouldn't change unless you're in the intercom menu and then adjust it on the tourpak speaker box, if you're losing volume it sounds like you may have a issue.

Did you ever get your problem fixed? My '12 Ultra Limited is having similar experiences. The right switch does everything except volume down. I'm suspecting a broken wire under the seat because I can lift up on the nose of the seat sometimes and make the switch work.
