Need a little help. Anyone know the size of the bolt that tightens the clamp on the shift arm at the inside front of the primary? Mine is somewhere on the side of the highway. :-)
Just recently I had an issue with my toe shifter being loose .
Seems the last tech who worked on my bike stripped the bolt, probably trying to get it snugged on the shaft spline.
Not wanting to strip the threads inside of the shifter arm, I bought a 1/4 x 20 x 1" and a 1/4 x 20 nut to help squeeze the shifter onto the shaft spline.
A 1/4 x 20 x 3/4" bolt should work fine.
A dab of Locktite blue should prevent the bolt from coming out againbut if you want to make sure, get the 1" bolt with a locking nut.
