I have Corbin seats and like them a lot, however they either fit you or they don't. Not to sure about this break in talk as mine fit from day one. With that said I now order and have Russel Day Long seats on my newer bikes and they are a much better seat in every way. I do some Iron Butt riding and to me the Russel will be the seat from now on.

Do the ride in at Hollister,CA and get them to custom make 1 for you and the OL. I bought 1 for my 2007 Road King and its Hard as a rock. The 1 for my 2011 is a bit softer. i like the 2011 seat. I may sell the 2007 as I have a HD pillow top seat that is very comfortable.

They will carve the foam to relieve pressure points that you experience. Add foam to areas you may need it. If you prefer a softer seat, they can provide the correct foam padding.

I'm on my 7th Corbin, and I haven't been disappointed by any of them. Currently running a Touring two-up Corbin for the wife and I. Great seat. I will admit though, that I've noticed some changes in their customer service. Not like it used to be. Last year I tryed to call and email with little success in getting a response about recovering one of my Corbin. Finally talked to C&C guys, looked at their products, and I'm thinking about switching to them on the next go round. Quality with good service. You can't go wrong with a Corbin seat though. I'd check ebay first, and see if you can't find a good used one that will fit your needs for probably 1/2 the price. I've gotten 3 of my Corbins off Ebay, and they have been outstanding. Just watch who you're dealing with, and check it out closely before pulling the trigger. Good Luck.

In 1990 I paid a visit to the factory in Northern California and had Corbin make a custom seat for my 88 Heritage. At that time they were the best deal in town. Since then I have seen a lot of attitude in their stores and over the phone. Price wise, they are high, and also heard that they are uncomfortable.

My recommendation is http://ccseats.com/ I'm very pleased with their seats. The vinyl they use looks a feel like genuine leather. Fit & comfort is perfect. Prices beat the heck out of Corbin.

My problem is I have a bad back (degenerative disks) and need some suspension/cushion in the seat for hard/jarring bumps in the road.
But if that’s not a problem for you they are great seats, high quality.
Don't get in a hurry after ordering one though, it will be at least 6 weeks to get one.
Same here. Degenerative disc, stress fractures, lumbar stenosis, bugging discs.....20 yrs in FDNY takes its toll.
Corbin Dual Tourer is the first seat I've had that doesn't bother my back.
I love this seat.

I scored a Corbin Gunfighter and Lady w/one backrest off of Ebay. I find it very comfortable. I can't comment on the passenger pad yet as the wife hasn't had a chance to test ride it yet. The back rest really helps me with lower back fatigue. I don't know how long the previous owner had it but it shows no signs of checking/cracking of the covering. There's no wrinkling, but it still looks like a new seat.

I was in the same boat as you, and asked the same question. Just like you, I got mostly positive reviews, so I bought one. I want to Caution you These seats are not for everyone. It is either a love or a hate for the seat, no in between.

For me, the seat was HORRIBLE, no if ands or butts about it. (LOL) I could not ride it for more than 1/2 - 1 hour without being in incredible backside pain. They are very very very hard.

I got an off the shelf one, so it may be better to go the route suggested to you, go to the factory and have them custom fit your butts.

The only positive thing I can say about the seat, is they look very nice. I ended up tradeing mine on the forum for a Road Zeppelin, best move I made, it is (IMO) the most comfortable seat on the market.
