My Corbin Rant, I promised Mike Corbin I would never miss a chance to let other riders know of my experience;

I paid alot of money for a premium Corbin seat.

The seat arrived "hard as hell", 40 minutes and my rear would be numb.

I call in, they say "don't worry it'll break in, call us if it doesn't".

I call back about 9 months later, still hard as heck and the covering is starting to crack..

they say:

"too late"

and "sun exposure"

I explained that I had already called in and had been asked to give the seat some time.

I also explained the only time the bike was exposed to the sun, my rear was shading the seat.

- no re course there.

i wrote to Mike Corbin who was heading the company at the time.

no response.

so as promised- that is my experience with Corbin products and how they stand behind the build and quality of materials used.

they got my money, once.

Mike

What is it that they do that makes such a big difference?

I had a Dual Touring on my Softail Deluxe and put the same on my Road King Classic. I love it! I'm one of the fortunate ones whose butt fits the "seat pocket" of the Corbin. I can ride with no discomfort between fill-ups. My wife loves the Corbin way better than any of the OEM seats that came on the Deluxe and RKC, and way more than the Sundowner I had on the RKC initially...bought it to try to save a little money when I traded but should have bought the Corbin out of the gate. Rebecca Wanstrath (I think she's the Parts Manager) at Tri-County H-D in Ohio gives you 20% off on new Corbins. She was an "Ace" to work with. Got it in less than 3 weeks.

I am a big fan of Corbin seats. I think that they are absolutely worth the money. Just be prepared to invest about 1000-1500 miles to break it in. (just another excuse to ride)

I thought that Corbin's were very hard.
The only worse seat than a Corbin was a Lepera, which was like sitting on a brick w/a little pad on it. Corbin not much better though, a tad, but that's it.
I would not buy another one.

If you don't mind a HARD seat, they are great.
I had one for 4,000 miles and it was still as hard as the day I took it out of the box.

My problem is I have a bad back (degenerative disks) and need some suspension/cushion in the seat for hard/jarring bumps in the road.
But if that’s not a problem for you they are great seats, high quality.
Don't get in a hurry after ordering one though, it will be at least 6 weeks to get one.

Bought mine new about 12 years ago. Mrs B and I have travelled all over Europe on it. Don't reckon on getting another after all that time!

I got a classic solo and pillion. I live in hollister. My butt burns after 100 miles. My wife doesnt like the pillion cause it hurts too. I had them rework the seats this past Saturday and it still burned after 100 miles this morning. Maybe all seats do idk. Corbin was real good to work with.

The seat cover does have some checking on the right side
they said i lean that way

Had a dual tour on my EG. Seat is firm, but very supportive. Problem I had was that my ol lady's a$$ is not the size of a 16 year old's anymore. The passenger area is rather small. The HD Sundowner is a very comfy seat. Has like a memory foam or something. You settle down in to it and it supports you quite well and has a bigger passenger area.
