Well, WTF! got my front tire replaced last week and guess what...7 days & 600 miles later, the new one has cracked sidewalls, both sides this time.
the date code is 1912...thats, what? May? sorry, not taking the time to do the math, close enough.
We will see what the dealer says.
Took my 2012 FLTRX with 500 miles on it to the dealer Saturday for the front sidewall cracks - they confirmed it and warranted the tire. Old tire had a date code of 4611. First the VR, now this. I hope this is the last time it goes in until the 1k service.
This probably means nothing but...my first tire was always brownish, never looked all that great no matter what. The new one is seriously black. We'll see.
Mine has 3200 miles on the front and its showing cracks now. Ive had this problem on all the Dunlop fronts that ive had in the last 4 years. I will switch back to Metzlers or go with the Michelins when I need a new set.
I just changed out my ultra front tire on friday with 10k miles on it. Tire was very hard and full of cracks. I monitor my tires daily. Pressure every few days. The tread looks fine. I ride all summer long and April to Oct. and usally change at 20 to 22K. This tire was terrible.
Went to the Mich Commander on the front.
This is crazy, almost new tires with cracks that look like they are years old?
Where the hell do they make these things? almost afraid to ask. haha
What has happened to quality assurance these days? Sounds like it went
out the window years ago.
I have my appointment this Friday to get my front tire changed, the shop is so booked up I had to wait almost two weeks.....hopefully this tire will be good to go....
Will check out my '12 Ultra Classic tomorrow. Got it two weeks and 1700 miles ago so by the average on this deal, if they are going to show up they should be visible by now.
Well after a solid month I got my front tire replaced under warranty. The tire saga ends...so far after a solid 8.5 months I'm up to about 850.00 buck worth of warranty stuff so far...regulator, front tire and right saddle bag lid (paint defect) replaced. I hope that's going to be it...If I keep her I will be purchasing the extended warranty for I will not own her without a factory warranty. Any suggestions on the best place to purchase an extended factory warranty? Any replies would be appreciated....
