fairing mirrors
Im putting new bars on my streetglide and will not be able to use the fairing mirrors i have looked everywhere and can't find anything to replace them with harley has a black plastic plug and kuryakan has a big chunk chrome metal or plastic. i have a painted inner fairing and do not want to use either
I had the holes filled in when I had my inner fairing painted. That is definitely the way to go.

A buddy of mine put tweeters there using part of the fairing mirror mount. Well it's a buddy of a buddy, so I don't know when I would be able to ask him how it was done. I'm considering doing the same b/c I can see well enough out of mine if I move my head, but I'm thinking of rotating my bars further back which will render my mirrors useless.
Has anyone left the fairing mirrors on and also mounted the bar mirrors too. Who ever put mine on used the template which mounts the mirrors for use by a midget. On my last bike I knew enough to fudge the template up so a tall person could use the mirrors. But they are great for looking for cars right beside me lol but not so much for cars further back. I just thought of buying a set of handle bar mirrors and just adding them on.
Sometimes I'm too cheap for my own good, I went with the Kuryakyn

I should have done the Bagga Chips

Black Finish - In Stock - M.S.R.P $98.95 - their price $88.95
Chrome Finish - In Stock - M.S.R.P $98.95 - their price $88.95

In the past I used a plastic fender washer from Lowes that would cover all the holes.
Even though they are made to just push in, you can use a nut on the inside to tighten it down.
