I live in Asheville and HD of asheville is a great dealership. Used to be Gene Lummus HD and changed hands about a year ago the man that owns it now also owns a very large metric bike dealership called MR Honda in Asheville. HD of Asheville is open 12-5 on Sundays and this Saturday they are having a free concert and free barbecue when I buy another bike it will be from HD of Asheville real friendly folks and a very large selection of clothes bikes and accessories. HDV Glide you will pass right by my house heading in to NC on I 26 I live right off exit 17 about 15 miles from the TN line can see interstate from the house.
Sounds good, will be in Asheville checking out my cousins new home and checking the area out for possibly a future move. We go to the dealership on Sunday. You see 3 bikes with Jersey tags riding around, it's us.....
If you're looking for some fun roads to ride in the area, try Hwy 215 out of Rosman up towards the Parkway. Turn right onto the Parkway, and have some lunch at Pisgah Inn, then come down Hwy 276 to Brevard. Get some ice cream at the place at the intersection of Hwy 276, Hwy 280, and Hwy 64 (Can't remember the name right now, but it's worth it!). Hwy 276 will have a lot of traffic near the Sliding Rock park.
...get on the Blue Ridge Parkway at Asheville and run North to Mount Mitchell
Or, get on the Blue Ridge Parkway and run south to Cherokee. That's a spectacular road. Another nice road out of Asheville is to take 74-A south down to Chimney Rock.
I have family in Burnsville, I'm going to have to make the trek from Houston to there sometime! I've always wanted to ride the almighty blue ridge pkwy since I was little.
