Staying in Johnson City, Tn. Saturday night and heading into Asheville on Sunday. Is the HD dealer there a worthwhile trip??
What a coincidence, I'm headed to TN on Thursday and will be going through Asheville on Friday. I'll try not to tear up the road ahead of you too much.
The Harley dealer for the Asheville area is in Swananoa NC. If you are going I 26 to Asheville, take I 240 EAST (Asheville bypass) to I 40 east. Take the Swananoa (Patton Cove RD.) exit. Turn left at the end of the ramp. The dealership is on the right just after you cross the interstate.
It's an ok dealership, but nothing spectacular. If you want to see something spectacular in Asheville, tour Biltmore House or get on the Blue Ridge Parkway at Asheville and run North to Mount Mitchell. Both are worth the trip, and the resturant at Mount Mitchell is great!

I live in Asheville and HD of asheville is a great dealership. Used to be Gene Lummus HD and changed hands about a year ago the man that owns it now also owns a very large metric bike dealership called MR Honda in Asheville. HD of Asheville is open 12-5 on Sundays and this Saturday they are having a free concert and free barbecue when I buy another bike it will be from HD of Asheville real friendly folks and a very large selection of clothes bikes and accessories. HDV Glide you will pass right by my house heading in to NC on I 26 I live right off exit 17 about 15 miles from the TN line can see interstate from the house.
Don't know about the dealer but there is enough other stuff and great rides on the Parkway that I would rather be riding. We are up in that area all the time.
