Default behind the "points cover"

I'm new. Changed the points cover on my 09 SG a while ago and learned that there's nothing behind the cover. Just a cavity. Been thinking about what to do with that space ever since. Anyone come up with a cool use for the cavity behind the points cover? How about a cash stash? Does it get too hot in there to stash US paper currency? (Already stash a key by taping it inside rear fender.)

Don't know, but I would keep the stashed key a secret.....whoops, to late for that now.

I've wondered what could be put in there, just for giggles. Didn't come up with anything. I have heard of people putting some loved ones ashes in there so that they're with them riding.

ashes, that's the best.

my spare key and fob are zip tied to the top lace eyelet of my riding boot.

my other spare key is with my riding Pal. ( I have his & his code, makes easier for gassing up etc. if one of us is inside using the can ).

ashes.

Like that.

I did read something in Thunder Press about a locking cover from someone, but that could be as
much as 3 or 4 months ago. I don't know how hot that area gets, and I don't know the Flash
point of paper money either. I would start off with a few one dollar bills to test it out so not to
lose any big bills $20.oo-$50.oo-$100.oo. That could make a handy place to stash your stash.

Maybe a good place to stash an extra doo rag or two.

Ashes is the best. We put cousin Ron the tree hugger's ashes at the base of a monster sequoia in California a few years ago. I really wish I'd saved some so he could ride with me. That's a gremlin bell I can beleive in.

Hope you carry a knife in your pocket too, like to see you hopping on one foot trying to stick the key in the lock. Guess you could take you boot off, but makes a funnier image the other way....
